Primary Sports Grant at Clockhouse Primary School

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

At Clockhouse Primary School we continue to be committed to providing children with excellent sporting provision. With the added funding, we have made significant and sustained improvement to our PE provision. We continue to aim to further develop and sustain the improvements made to ensure that each child experiences the benefits. In order to sustain improvements and continue to improve we combine this additional funding with allocated money from the School’s budget we:

    • Develop staff expertise in teaching PE through providing additional training and professional development
    • Increase participation in sport through the provision of additional clubs before, during and after school
    • Provide children with the opportunity to attend Sports clubs during Holidays
    • Increase participation in local and district competitions and tournaments through membership of the local sports collective.
    • Purchase additional PE resources for use during PE lessons and lunchtime
    • Promote physical activity to support learning and teaching in other curriculum areas.

At Clockhouse Primary School, we have ensured that this funding has been used to target and develop our current PE provision and to support our pupils participating in competitive events across the borough. In turn, this has led to the school being awarded the Platinum Sports Award.
